Alex Velez also known as TP Lords was born and raised in Miami, Florida. TP started the art of female impersonation at the age of 16 in the Ballroom Scene (an underground competition between different groups; better known as houses; for trophies and bragging rights, sometimes money). This where tTP got the last name ”Lords”. The first name TP was a nickname given by the House of Lords family. It stands for “Total Package”; because of TP's many talents in this artform. It was the ballroom scene that opened TP up to performing at nightclubs professionally. TP started working at nightclubs at the age of 19, and has been in the biz for 23 years. 

 

TP has won many pageants along the way: Miss Illusions, Miss Florida at Large, Miss Latina World, Ultimate Miami Drag Queen, Miss Miami Beach Gay Pride.
